Kids Central Incorporated is the not-for-profit lead agency selected by the State of Florida to coordinate child protection services in Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion and Sumter Counties (Circuit 5). The agency develops and manages a comprehensive, community-based system of care for abused, neglected and abandoned children and their families. Kids Central is committed to promoting the welfare of children through abuse/neglect prevention services, in-home care, foster care, and adoption.

Announcements
The next meeting of the Kids Central Board of DIrectors will be held on Thursday, August 28, at 1:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Kids Central All-Purpose Room at 2123 SW HIghway 484 in Ocala.
The August meeting of the Kids Central Executive Committee will be held Tuesday, August 12, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Room at Kids Central, Inc., 2117 SW Highway 484 in Ocala.
The Kids Central Finance Committee meeting for Thursday, July 17, has been cancelled. The next meeting
will meet on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 4:00p.m. at Kids Central, Inc.
The August meeting of the Kids Central Best Practices Committee will take place on Tuesday, August 12, at 1:00 p.m. at Kids Central, Inc.

The Florida Department of Children and Families has contracted with Kids Central, Incorporated to be the Community-Based Care lead agency in Circuit 5 (Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties).

The Kids Central network is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). The COA program of quality improvement is designed to identify networks that have set high performance standards for themselves and have made a commitment to quality.
