There is an urgent need for caring individuals in Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, and Sumter Counties to provide a safe, loving home for youth who have experienced abuse and neglect. Open your heart and home to a child, teen, or group of siblings. You can guide them to a brighter future and help end the generational cycle of abuse.

Celebrating National Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Let us all take this opportunity to consider how we can help prevent child abuse in our community by being aware, engaged, and responsive. If you witness child maltreatment or see signs of abuse, immediately contact the Florida Abuse Hotline at 800-962-2873 or via their website. Another important way to make a difference for local children and families is by becoming involved with Kids Central as a donor, volunteer, mentor, foster/adoptive parent, or staff member.
