Kids Central’s Community Development department created a volunteer program in February 2010. Since then, volunteers have contributed more than 2,500 hours assisting in Kids Central’s Resource Center, internal departments and at community events. The program strives to be flexible and accommodating to volunteers’ schedules.
Kids Central Volunteer Program requirements:
- Must be 18 years old
- All volunteers must submit an application and complete a thorough background screening (at no cost to the applicant)
- Drug screening and fingerprints
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Resource Center
- Administrative/Clerical
- Community Events
- Mentoring
Kids Central is also recruiting professional services volunteers. As needs in our community grow and resources decrease, the only way we can meet the growing needs is through the generosity of volunteers. We are in need of currently employed or retired professionals in the following areas:
- Nurses
- Teachers
- Detectives/police
