Stephen Spivey

Stephen Spivey is a graduate of the University of Central Florida (1978) and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson Law School (1980). He is the founder of Recovery House, Inc., started both the Drug Court and Teen Courts in Marion County, and has served as a Board member on numerous local non-profit organizations over the last 20 years including The Centers, Interfaith Community Services and Kids Central.

Judge Spivey served as a Dependency and Family Law Judge in the 5^th Judicial Circuit and retired in 2007. He currently owns Spivey Mediation Services, a comprehensive alternative dispute resolution firm. He and his wife, Rosemary, live in Ocala.
